Fern Weaver
1933 through Eternity
At age 69, after almost 49 years as my beloved wife, friend and companion, Fern suddenly and unexpectedly departed this earth at 8:55 PM Saturday, July 6, 2002, to be forever with the Lord. This happened while we visited our children and grandchildren in Tennessee. She planned the last stop on our our summer tour to be the FBC Reunion 2002 in Atlanta. Fern is so much better off now because she is jubilantly enjoying an Eternal Reunion in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven, the place to which she so looked forward. In Heaven there is no sin, no sorrow, no death and there are no tears. One of Fern’s favorite verses was:
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death neither sorrow, nor crying; neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21: 4
Right this moment Fern is experiencing glorious eternal life with all the promises of this
verse, plus absolute perfection and peace granted freely by God's amazing grace.
She was my wife, soulwinning partner, friend, sweetheart, lover, nurse, planner, navigator, frugal manager, advocate,
sometime necessary adversary, wise counsel and thoughtful advisor. She was my cheering squad, the mother of our
three wonderful kids. She was the exceptional grandmother to our eight precious grandchildren and a loving, caring
mother-in-law to our children's extraordinary spouses. She'll be missed for all these reasons plus a million more.
I never appreciated fully whom The Lord had given me until she is no longer here. Friends, I plead with you, cherish
your loved ones while you can. Hug, love and enjoy one another “like there is no tomorrow” because, on this earth,
there may be no tomorrow.
She worried that some of our friends and acquaintances were not absolutely sure of Heaven. She was concerned that
we must always be clear with our Gospel message. She rejoiced when our friends understood the simplicity that is
in Christ Jesus’ salvation. She shed tears for those who refused God's simple gift of Eternal Life.
If she could speak to you right now, she would plead with you to trust Christ alone for your salvation. We are
all sinners, by nature and deed. The penalty of this sin is death, separation from God. God loves us in spite of
our sin, in fact, so much that He came to earth in the flesh of sinless and perfect Jesus Christ. He voluntarily
gave Himself to be crucified on the cross of Calvary as the necessary death payment for sin. He was put in the
grave and three days later arose under His own power, proving Himself to be God. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God
who takes away the sins of the world, specifically of those who trust Him alone for eternal life. Please understand
and believe that Christ's death on the cross was for you personally. Will you, right now, trust Him alone to give
you His gift of Eternal Life? He loves you that much. It is just that simple. "Not by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us." Titus 3:5a.
God's Salvation is - Faith alone in Christ alone, nothing more, nothing less!
The Lord is my Strength, my Provider and Comforter. Maranatha -- “Even so come
Lord Jesus.” Revelation 22:20b
Are you absolutely sure of Heaven right now? The only way you can ever be sure is IF you have trusted Jesus Christ
alone as your Personal Savior. Please, right this moment, trust Jesus Christ and Him alone as YOUR personal Savior.
Don’t delay.
Thank you, Jack
